What? What do you mean, Year in Review? Every October, I look at my sewing list for the year and see what I completed, what is reasonable to complete by year end and what fell by the wayside. The pandemic definitely caused some projects to fall off and others to take their place.
Now it is time to make my 2021 list! 2021 will be additionally challenging as we have plans to move in the spring. This means making the shortest sewing/quilting list since retirement at the beginning of 2015. Firm commitments and projects in progress ONLY make the list at this time. There will be fall work in the garden and packing this winter.
Completed from my 2020 list:

Three projects, my Carpenter Square Log Cabin, the Cardinal table runner and the Nerd Quilt still need binding. I am hopeful to get my Bernina 350 SE back from the repair shop this week. It’s been 8 long weeks since she went in for repairs.

To wrap up 2020, I will make a couple of my Mini Holiday BOM table toppers. They make wonderful gifts or bazaar items. And I gave my favorite one away last year.
Here is the pattern! I am definitely keeping one this year!

Happy quilting all!

Hi Lennea! Oh, I just love the BOM table topper. What gorgeous fabrics you selected – I makes me want to drop everything and make one right this minute. I do not envy you having to pack and move. Hopefully, it is for a good reason and that it won’t be too stressful. ~smile~ Roseanne

Thank you, Roseanne! I am making two more this year. We will be downsizing a bit and moving closer to my daughter and grand kids, so it’s a very good reason. We have several acres and at our ages, no longer enjoy all the yard work. I would rather be sewing!

Wow, you get a lot done in a year. I don’t get nearly that much done, but maybe I’ll step up my game once I retire! Good luck with the move! We did it last year and it was a HUGE job! The house alone was bad enough, but then my husband had a 2000 sq ft “shop” full of vehicles, parts, tools, and STUFF!

Yes, retirement provides lots of time for sewing! If you prioritize it. This is my dream retirement, sew, sew, sew. Lol. Betweeen my sewing hobby and my husband’s work shop and ham radio stuff, it will be a chore! Thanks for the good wishes.
