So Many Projects!

Has it really been 2 weeks? Let see, the two Lily Rose tops from Esther’s pattern have been completed. What have I been doing?

There were the two custom made pipe bags that I made for a sister Pipe Diva (yes, that it was we pipe smoking ladies call ourselves!).  And since my serger and brain were all set for pipe bags, I made half dozen more for the fall Pipe Show.

In addition, I have been busy with the Fun With Free Motion (FFMQ) page that I admin and prepare workbooks for. I am attaching my page Hints & Tips column on The Scant 1/4″ Seam that was posted in July. Scant 1:4″ Hints & Tips. Researching this was interesting because I have a precarious relationship with the Scant 1/4″ seam. But I did discover some helpful new tips. Hope you enjoy it.

I haven’t time to start Part 6 of Wrapt in Love as I am also preparing a Mini Holiday BOM for FFMQ. Of course, this means that I also have to sew it first! And photograph extensively. It is based on the classic Log Cabin, which is one of my favorites, and can be used a table topper, wall hanging or tree skirt. There will, of course, be an applique option for us applique lovers to embellish the piece.

FFMQ will be starting this project Sep 1. It will have three parts to it and be completed in time for gift giving or use for the holidays using layer cake squares or stash. Our talented FFMQ designer, Sandra, will be designing some original FMQ for the Mini Holiday BOM for our group members.

Here is a sneak peak.
