This week we are talking about trees! To be specific, Cindi Edgerton’s fabulous Trim the Tall Tree and Little Bit Shorter Tall Tree paper piecing patterns.
Cindi’s pattern is a bit different in that all the paper pieces are contained within her very reasonably priced patterns and you get two full sets in each pattern. I have made about half dozen of her trees and just love the possibilities of this pattern.
The Fun With Free Motion Quilting FB page is doing a summer sew along of the trees (yes, we have Cindi’s permission!) and we have made workbooks with tips and hints to help everyone to make the tree of their dreams. Workbook 1 covers the piecing of the tree, and Workbook 2 covers embellishments and finishing your tree. A third workbook will cover quilting and adding lights to your tree.

I hope you have as much as fun as I do making these trees! Happy quilting!

Hi Lennea! I haven’t seen a post from you in a bit – maybe I just missed them. I am a big fan of these trees. Yours look wonderful. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne! We moved, which meant about 3 months of chaos and no sewing. Just getting busy again! And trying to keep to my weekly blog schedule.
