Christmas Trees, Please

Last year, I made a Christmas Tree quilt using the Cindy Edgerton Tall Tree pattern. This is a replacement for havng an actual tree for our home. We are retired and it is so nice to know our tree is neatly folded, waiting for the holiday season.

A friend recently requested a tree, so that one is under construction. And I made a brilliant discovery in iron on vinyl glitter! It irons on much like a raw edge applique, is stitched like an applique and then shines brightly! It can also be washed.

The cardinal border turned out well. It makes me feel like I am looking through the forest and seeing the Christmas tree.

I am also constructing a smaller version-The Little Bit Shorter Tall Tree- which about 42” tall. Its purple, modeled after our local Zoolights display.
